National Cybersecurity Communications and Integration Center (NCCIC) Tours

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is actively working to expose students to the broad range of cyber careers available at the Department. In 2013, the Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) launched the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) student tours.

The NCCIC is a 24x7 cyber situational awareness and incident response and management center that serves as a central location where a diverse set of public and private sector partners involved in cybersecurity and communications protection coordinate and synchronize their efforts. The NCCIC analyzes cybersecurity and communications information; shares timely and actionable information; and coordinates response, mitigation and recovery efforts.

Designed for students pursuing a cyber-related degree or interested in the field of cybersecurity, the program allows students to tour the NCCIC Watch Floor and hear from cybersecurity professionals on the landscape of cyber threats facing colleges and universities.

OAE is now scheduling tours for the spring 2018 semester. If your institution is located or traveling in the Maryland, Washington, D.C., or Virginia area and would like to schedule a tour, please contact AcademicEngagement@hq.dhs.gov.
