I am pleased that the Senate today confirmed Loretta Lynch to serve as our next Attorney General. I have had the privilege of knowing Loretta since 1997 and have watched as she has progressed as a solid, steady, and experienced prosecutor. 

The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice work together on a range of issues. I look forward to working with Loretta.
