DHS to Launch Private-Sector Pilot Program for Federal Employees in Stem Fields

WASHINGTON – Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will announce Exemplar, a pilot program for DHS employees to get on-the-job training in the private sector. DHS Under Secretary for Management Russell Deyo will participate in a media availability, along with Science and Technology Directorate Under Secretary Dr. Reginald Brothers, National Protection and Programs Directorate Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection Catlin Durkovich, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Private Sector Sarah Morgenthau.

Exemplar will place DHS employees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and cybersecurity-related fields within the private sector for hands-on training. Learn more at www.dhs.gov/exemplar.

Under Secretary Deyo will deliver remarks and participate in a media availability with other senior DHS officials
