DHS has a vital mission in keeping Americans safe, and information sharing enabled by the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) is integral to homeland security partners’ ability to meet their operational needs.
HSIN’s fiscal year 2016 annual report provides a detailed analysis of the role HSIN plays as part of today’s homeland security mission. Highlights include:
- Launch of HSIN Exchange, which provided key improvements in how the National Network of Fusion Centers share, process and track requests for information.
- The HSIN Program’s continued development of strategic partnerships based on its Focused Mission Growth strategy, which prioritizes the quality of the user experience and mission value.
- Deployment of new operational training materials designed for different types of learners, which increased knowledge of HSIN in a wide array of communities.
