S&T is incorporating social science research into DHS’s counter-human trafficking approach through two foundational projects: (1) the Counter-human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Foundational Effort and (2) the Human Trafficking System Analysis and Technology Roadmap.
DHS S&T seeks to address the growing problem of human trafficking through social science-based research.
These posters were created to raise awareness of human trafficking among Native communities. Informed by Native survivors of human trafficking, the series uses culturally-relevant images and messages. Organizations working to reach Native communities with information about human trafficking can display these posters in locations like schools, community centers, and offices.
National Human Trafficking Awareness Day is recognized each year on January 11th (#WearBlueDay). Blue Campaign hosts special events and educational activities.
