DHS Conducts Procurement Innovation Lab Boot Camps for Industry

Last week, our Procurement Innovation Lab (PIL) team hosted two PIL Boot Camps for Industry. Like the pilot launch last year, our sessions this year were a great success! During the two interactive one‑day workshops, 171 industry participants, nominated by 17 industry associations, representing 139 diverse companies, joined the PIL team to learn about the innovative procurement techniques that foster a culture of procurement excellence where smart risk‑taking and innovation assure the Department of Homeland Security mission success.

A Decade of Confirmed Commitment and Dedication to Small Businesses!

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has earned an “A+” grade, the highest score possible, from the Small Business Administration (SBA) for our accomplishments supporting America’s small businesses during fiscal year (FY) 2018. This milestone marks a decade of excellence for the Department! For ten consecutive years DHS has earned an “A” grade or higher on the SBA’s Annual Small Business Procurement Scorecard.
