Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman

The Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman hosts a toll-free service for individuals needing assistance on a pending matter before USCIS.  Individuals needing assistance may also file a request online.  If you need help with a case that is pending with USCIS and you have exhausted your options with USCIS’s customer service, you can contact the Ombudsman’s Office for assistance.

Hours of Operations: Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)

Language assistance: Service is available in English and Spanish.

Inquiries receive a response from the Ombudsman within 30 business days.  The Ombudsman seeks to resolve all inquiries within 90 days of filing with the office.
