DHS Acting Secretary Elaine Duke to Travel to Puerto Rico

WASHINGTON - Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Elaine Duke will travel to Puerto Rico tomorrow to discuss ongoing Hurricane Maria recovery efforts.

While in Puerto Rico, Acting Secretary Duke will meet with residents and with local mayors in Ponce and San Juan. While in Ponce, she will conduct a media availability with María E. Meléndez Altieri, mayor of Ponce.
The full force of the federal government continues to make progress toward recovery, working hand-in-hand with U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico officials, municipalities, businesses and voluntary agencies on the islands.
