Secretary Kelly to Visit the National Hurricane Center in Miami - Thursday Marks the Start of Hurricane Season

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, June 1st, Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly will visit the National Hurricane Center to receive operational briefings regarding the 2017 hurricane season. Secretary Kelly will be joined by Florida Governor Rick Scott and officials from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Hurricane Center, as well as the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Hurricane Liaison Team. While at the National Hurricane Center, Secretary Kelly and Governor Scott will participate in a media availability.

*Credentialed media planning to attend must RSVP dennis.feltgen@noaa.gov NLT 8:00am EDT on June 1. On the day of the event, media must arrive no later than 10:15am EDT for security purposes.  
**Parking is located on the east side of the building with signage "NOAA Conference Parking". After you are cleared by security, proceed to the main (south) entrance.
