Exercise Starter Kits are a set of tools and resources for K-12 communities and institutions of higher education (IHE) to self-conduct a tabletop exercise (TTX).
The Exercise Starter Kits reinforce specific emergency plans, protocols, and procedures, while also testing and strengthening preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is now seeking a partner college or university to serve as the host institution for the winter 2019 RTTX, anticipated to be held in February of 2019. Final event date will be dependent on the selected host institution's schedule and availability.
The 2018 Charlottesville RTTX was held on June 11, 2018 at the UVA in Charlottesville, VA. The one-day event focused on a soft target attacks.
