  • DHS Statement Regarding Safety and Enforcement During the California Wildfires

    U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are concerned about the devastation the Camp Fire wildfire has caused in northern California and the Woolsey Fire and Hill Fire wildfires have caused in southern California.

  • DHS Convenes Regional Tabletop Exercise for Institutions of Higher Education in Edmond, Okla.

    The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Campus Resilience (CR) Program, in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), convened the third Regional Tabletop Exercise for Institutions of Higher Education (RTTX) on October 11, 2018, at the University of Central Oklahoma.

  • DHS Statement Regarding Safety and Enforcement During Hurricane Michael

    U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are concerned about the potential impact of Hurricane Michael to the East Coast of the United States, where Florida and Alabama are under states of emergency.  Our highest priority remains the preservation of life and safety. In consideration of these circumstances, there will be no immigration enforcement initiatives associated with evacuations or sheltering related to Michael, except in the event of a serious public safety threat.

  • DHS Convenes Fifth Annual NTTX for Institutions of Higher Education

    The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Campus Resilience (CR) Program, in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), convened the fifth annual National Seminar and Tabletop Exercise for Institutions of Higher Education (NTTX) on September 24-25, 2018, at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

    The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) recently released the Situation Manual and Summary Report from the 2018 Charlottesville Regional Tabletop Exercise for Institutions of Higher Education (RTTX).

  • Trusted Tester V5 Testing Tools

    The following information is provided to assist agencies to get testing tools required by Trusted Tester V5 approved for use within their IT environments. This information is based on the latest status of the Federal Accessibility Community of Practice Working Group. Some tools may be updated prior to the final Trusted Tester V5 release, however we recommend initiating approval procedures for these tools now to prepare for fall release of the updated process.

  • Trusted Tester V3 Training and Certification Sunset

    After nearly five years of operation, the online Trusted Tester V3 training and certification is coming to an end.  As of 06/29/2018, the DHS Office of Accessible Systems and Technology (OAST) is no longer accepting training requests for Trusted Tester V3.  To prepare for the fall release of the updated Trusted Tester V5 training and certification online courses, no further enrollments will be made in the current online courses.  Students currently enrolled must complete the courses by 09/30/2018.  No retaking of courses will be allowed after that date, with no exceptions.  Trusted Tester V5 and other online training will be released in the fall.
