Statement from U.S. Department of Homeland Security Press Secretary Sara Kuban on Secretary Janet Napolitano Rescheduling Her Trip to Texas

Release Date: March 26, 2009

Office of the Press Secretary
Contact: 202-282-8010

“Secretary Napolitano is rescheduling her trip to Texas due to bad weather predictions for tomorrow. The inclement weather would prohibit Secretary Napolitano from being able to take her trip as planned to fully assess recovery and rebuilding efforts from hurricanes Ike and Gustav. Going to Texas is a priority for Secretary Napolitano and she will be working with Governor Perry on Thursday to reschedule her trip in the near future. We will announce the details of the rescheduled trip once confirmed.”
