Secretary Napolitano to Announce FEMA Preparedness Grants Final Allocations for Fiscal Year 2009

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will announce the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Fiscal Year 2009 Preparedness Grants final allocations on Wednesday, April 8 at 12:30 p.m. Secretary Napolitano will be accompanied by representatives from FEMA, Amtrak, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Following the event, a preparedness grant-funded Amtrak explosives detection canine team will demonstrate its capabilities, which are in use at Union Station and other Amtrak facilities across the country.
