Statement by Press Secretary Clark Stevens on Secretary Napolitano's Upcoming Visit to Spain

"Secretary Napolitano will travel to Madrid, Spain, on April 8-10, to participate in the U.S.-European Union Justice and Home Affairs Ministerial Troika meeting, where she will discuss international cooperation to protect against terrorism and transnational crime. Secretary Napolitano will assess progress made on the joint declaration on strengthening the international civil aviation system she and her EU counterparts issued in Toledo, Spain, in January, and will discuss cooperative cybersecurity efforts. Secretary Napolitano will also travel to Barcelona to meet with DHS officers working side-by-side with Spanish Customs to ensure resilient and secure commerce through the Container Security Initiative. More details on the trip will be released once they are finalized."
