"Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano will travel to New Zealand and Australia on Feb. 20-25 to meet with her international counterparts and build on the Department’s new partnership with the World Customs Organization (WCO) - announced by Secretary Napolitano and WCO Secretary General Kunio Mikuriya in Brussels last month - to build partnerships with other nations, international bodies and the private sector to increase the security of the global supply chain.

In New Zealand, Secretary Napolitano will visit Christchurch to participate in the U.S.-New Zealand Partnership Forum and underscore the important partnership between our countries to strengthen security and facilitate global trade and commerce.

In Australia, Secretary Napolitano will visit Brisbane, Canberra, and Sydney to meet with Australian counterparts and discuss the continued collaboration between the United States and Australia to make the global supply chain system stronger, smarter and more resilient and ways to expand information sharing to better combat terrorism and other transnational crimes and coordinate on emergency management. More details on the trip will be released once they are finalized."
