Yesterday the House voted to enact a clean, full-year appropriations bill for the Department of Homeland Security. The Senate did the same last Friday.

On behalf of the approximately 225,000 men and women of the Department of Homeland Security, I wish to thank the many organizations and individuals from law enforcement, fire and emergency responders and others who stood with us publicly in the effort to get an appropriations bill passed. These groups and individuals included:
