Department of Homeland Security Launches New Campus Resilience Program Resource Library

Release Date: April 2, 2018

Furthering its commitment to providing resources that support the safety of the nation’s schools and campuses, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Academic Engagement (OAE) today launched the Campus Resilience (CR) Program Resource Library.

The free, online repository offers a variety of resources to empower practitioners and campus leaders to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from various threats and hazards relevant to the academic community.  The resources included represent a variety of federal, state, local, private-sector, emergency management, and academic association entities. OAE will continue coordination with its federal, private sector and academic partners to add new resources to the CR Program Resource Library in the near future.

“DHS is continually developing new and innovative ways to prepare the academic community for the ever-evolving landscape of threats it may confront,” Executive Director for Academic Engagement Trent Frazier said. “Providing resources from active shooter to natural disaster preparedness, the new CR Resource Library is an example of the Department working across the public, private and academic communities to further that goal.”

The CR Resource Library is the newest addition to the office’s Campus Resilience Program, that includes the Tabletop Exercise Series (TTX).  TTX is a collection of national and regional events, each with unique objectives and outcomes, designed for the higher education community.
