FEMA's National Preparedness Directorate (NPD) operates the Homeland Security Virtual Assistance Center (HSVAC). HSVAC is an advanced web-based, technical assistance management solution that supports FEMA in the scheduling, coordination, and management of training provided to First Responders, including state and local government entities and organizations. FEMA has conducted this privacy impact assessment (PIA) because HSVAC will use and maintain personally identifiable information (PII) to authenticate user identities of those individuals requesting access to the application.
