Body

FEMA's United States Fire Administration (USFA), National Fire Programs (NFP), National Fire Data Center (NFDC) owns and operates the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS). NFIRS is an information technology (IT) system that collects and maintains data associated with emergency responses by fire departments nationwide to analyze and measure the national fire problem as directed by USFA. FEMA is conducting this Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) because NFIRS may contain personally identifiable information (PII) of fire casualties, property owners, fire and emergency medical service personnel, and other persons involved in the incidents.
