Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is a crime and a form of modern-day slavery. DHS is working to end it.

  • Native Communities Awareness Poster Series

    These posters were created to raise awareness of human trafficking among Native communities. Informed by Native survivors of human trafficking, the series uses culturally-relevant images and messages. Organizations working to reach Native communities with information about human trafficking can display these posters in locations like schools, community centers, and offices.

  • Countering Human Trafficking Year in Review

    The DHS Countering Human Trafficking Year in Review reports on select accomplishments and advancements made by U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) offices and components towards countering human trafficking.

    This Law Enforcement Resource Guide highlights many of the Department’s threat resilience resources available to you, including training and grant opportunities.

  • CCHT Continued Presence Resource Guide

    As of February 26, 2021, the HSI led DHS Center for Countering Human Trafficking (CCHT) assumed responsibility for processing Continued Presence requests, and has been working diligently to ensure that law enforcement officers are aware this important tool is available to assist human trafficking victims. This Continued Presence Resource Guide is one of those efforts.

    This card provides a brief list of common indicators of human trafficking, the difference between human smuggling and human trafficking, and a DHS reporting option.

  • T Visa Law Enforcement Resource Guide

    The T Visa was designed with the dual purpose of stabilizing trafficking victims and promoting cooperation between law enforcement and trafficking victims. This T Visa Law Enforcement Resource Guide is intended for Federal, State, Local, Tribal and Territorial Law Enforcement, Prosecutors, Judges and other Government Agencies.

  • Key Tag Cards

    This 3.5x2 plastic card, breaks into three smaller cards. The smallest card contains reporting information and can be discreetly carried on a key chain. The largest lists the signs of human trafficking to be on the lookout for along with information on how to report.

  • "I Speak" Poster

    This poster assists literate individuals who are not proficient in English to identify a preferred language. This poster contains more than 60 languages. Law enforcement officers and others can show the poster to potential victims of human trafficking; the victims can obtain assistance from the Homeland Security Investigations Tip line that is available 24 hours a day with language capability in over 300 languages and dialects.
