I commend U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations' outstanding work and unwavering determination that led to the apprehension and extradition to the U.S. Saturday of those alleged to have murdered HSI Special Agent Jaime Jorge Zapata on February 15, 2011.

Jesus Ivan Quezada Pina and Alfredo Gaston Mendoza Hernandez, both Mexican citizens and nationals, were the subjects of a federal arrest warrant and will stand trial in the United States District Court for the District of Colombia. Law enforcement partners from the Government of Mexico located Quezada and Mendoza and notified the FBI office in Mexico City.

Today's announcement, which coincides with National Police Week when we honor our fallen heroes, is the latest affirmation of Homeland Security Investigations' skill and commitment to bringing criminals to face justice, whether domestic or foreign.

I congratulate them on a job well done.
