Internet of Things World Conference 2017

S&T is pleased to be speaking and exhibiting at IoT World, May 16-18, Santa Clara, CA! If you are at this event, don't miss this opportunity to meet  Melissa Ho, S&T’s Silicon Valley Innovation Program,  Anil John , S&T’s Cyber Security Division, and Eric Cho, DHS Procurement Innovation Lab, Office of the Chief Procurement Officer.

  • On May 16, Melissa Ho will be speaking at the IoT Start-up Academy, discussing how IoT solutions are improving security operations and how what business tools S&T has developed to make it easier for the startup community to work with government.
  • May 17, Ho  and Eric Cho will co-present on Public/Private Partnerships by presenting a case study on DHS Funded IoT Security Startups.
  • Additionally, on May 17, you are invited to participate in S&T’s Innovation Roundtable. S&T seeks to work with you to define common challenges, set expectations, and generate new ideas. Collectively, we need to better understand how emerging technologies, like IoT, can help security operators build capacity to mitigate risks, drive operational efficiencies, and make better decisions in real-time. Through increased connectivity and integration across different services, systems, and infrastructure, comes a whole new set of challenges and opportunities for enhancing hometown security and resiliency. Please join DHS staff for an engaging discussion on how people, technology, and capital, can offer high impact solutions to hometown security challenges, and how innovations in procurement are allowing us to streamline bringing new tech into government.
  • And on May 18, Anil John, Program Manager for Identity Management and Data Privacy Research, within S&T’s Cyber Security Division will present on Blockchain. Anil’s remarks will focus on mapping security and privacy principles onto the Blockchain, capability gaps and where DHS S&T is investing to close them, and use cases for government use of Blockchain technology.

If you are at the event, come by S&T’s exhibit booth #733 to learn more about doing business with S&T and how S&T is currently working with IoT startups to co-develop solutions, which drive operational efficiencies and save lives.
