WASHINGTON – Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Deputy Under Secretary Dr. Robert Griffin will deliver keynote remarks at Internet of Things (IoT) World. Dr. Griffin will discuss how integrated IoT platforms and sensors reshape our security landscape with increased connectivity and real-time data and other information sharing.
The interconnectivity of electronic devices, while providing major benefits, also pose potential threats to infrastructure, security and personal privacy. Ensuring our collective security calls for new thinking on how government partners with innovators nationwide, and events like IoT World facilitate this essential connection between the public and private sector. S&T aims to build relationships with IoT innovators and create an open dialogue on how emerging technology impacts community security and resiliency.
