The Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is hosting a Homeland Security Day on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. PST in Menlo Park, CA. This event will provide start-up companies and investors an opportunity to hear about USCG technology needs to support its missions and two new opportunities through SVIP’s Innovation Other Transaction Solicitation.
SVIP is looking for start-ups to develop or adapt technology for the following:
- The Maritime Object Tracking Technology solicitation seeks technology to more clearly mark and track objects in water, and
- The Language Translator solicitation seeks a language translator that functions in a maritime operational environment.
Attendees can register for the event at https://sri-csl.regfox.com/dhs-svip-homeland-security-day-uscg.
On behalf of DHS Operational Components, SVIP invests in start-up companies with viable technologies suitable for rapid prototyping projects from across the nation and around the world to adapt, develop and harness cutting-edge capabilities that are commercially sustainable while simultaneously meeting the needs of DHS operational components and programs.
