SAVER Project: Air-Purifying Escape Respirators

Air-purifying escape respirators (APERs) are designed to protect users from breathing harmful gases, vapors, and fumes. They may be used by responders or civilians for the limited amount of time needed to exit a contaminated area and reach fresh air.
