Lifting Airbags

Lifting Airbags

Lifting airbags are inflatable "pillows" constructed from combinations of strong rubber, nylon, and/or aramid fiber materials. Responders use these airbags on slopes and soft, marshy, or uneven ground to disperse weight more evenly; they are also used in restricted spaces or in flammable environments.

The Focus Group Report, Market Survey Report, and Assessment Report on Lifting Airbags are limited distribution documents, and are available in the SAVER Community on First Responder Communities of Practice (FRCoP).
