SAVER Project: Personal Flotation Devices for Swift Water Rescue

Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are designed to provide enough buoyancy to keep an individual afloat in water. PFDs designed for swift water rescue provide extra buoyancy, enable freedom of movement, cushion the user's body from falls or blows, and may insulate the user's body in frigid conditions.
