Self-Contained Closed-Circuit Full-Facepiece Respirator

Full-Facepiece, closed-circuit self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBAs) are designed to protect personnel in hazardous, toxic, or oxygen-deficient environments by recirculating breathing air and purifying it, removing carbon dioxide and adding fresh oxygen. These SCBAs are used when responders need to have a supply of breathable air to work in fouled atmospheres.
